Terms of Service

Read this part first

RunGogh helps you draw a route on a map. It does not know whether that route is safe, legal, or passable on the day you run it.

Map data can be wrong or out of date. A path may cross private land, a road may have no pavement, a route may run through an area you should not enter. You are responsible for judging whether a route is safe and for obeying traffic laws and local rules while you run it.

Do not follow a route while looking at your phone in traffic. Use your own judgement; it is better than ours.

Your account

You can use RunGogh without an account. To save routes across devices or export them, you need one.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

You must be at least 16 to create an account.

Free and Pro

The free tier lets you plan routes, view elevation and distance, and save a limited number of routes. The current limit is shown in the app.

RunGogh Pro is a subscription that removes the saved-route limit and unlocks GPX export and route organisation. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.

We may change what is included in each tier. If a change removes something you are paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect and you may cancel.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Those stores take the payment, and their terms govern the transaction.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You cancel through your Apple or Google account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Because Apple and Google process the payment, refunds are handled by them under their own policies. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase ourselves, but tell us if something went wrong and we will help where we can.

If you are a consumer in Israel, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741–1981, including any right to cancel a transaction.

Your routes

The routes you create are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

We store them so we can show them back to you, and we generate a map image of each so your route list is browsable. If you share a route link, anyone with that link can view the route until you turn sharing off.

You may not use RunGogh to create or share content that is unlawful, or to plan routes intended to harass, endanger or intrude on anyone.

What we ask of you

Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to bypass the limits of your tier. Do not resell access to the app or scrape its data in bulk.

We may suspend an account that does these things, or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully. Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you why first.

Maps and third parties

Map data, routing, search and elevation come from Mapbox and its data providers, including OpenStreetMap contributors. We present that data; we do not vouch for its accuracy.

Sign-in and payments are handled by Apple and Google, and subscription status by RevenueCat. Their terms apply to their parts of the service.

Availability

We try to keep RunGogh working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change or discontinue features, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance.

If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your saved routes.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for injury or damage arising from your use of a route you planned with RunGogh.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Ending it

You may stop using RunGogh at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end your access if you materially breach these terms.

Ending your account does not entitle you to a refund of a period already paid for, except where the law requires one.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use RunGogh after that means you accept the updated terms.
